How do I get my show or event listed on the directory?
On the Directory screen's Shows tab, use the SHOWS / OPPORTUNITIES toggle to pick which kind of listing you're adding, then click "+ Submit a Show" or "+ Submit Opportunity", fill out the quick submission form (including your flyer image file), and hit submit. Running a multi-day event like a festival? Just fill in an End Date on the show form too — the listing will show the full date range. Submissions appear on the directory within 24–48 hours after being submitted.
Is it free to submit events or media gigs?
Yes! NuDirectory is a community-driven public board designed to support Nashville's independent hip-hop, R&B, and soul scene entirely free of charge.
What types of events qualify for NuDirectory?
We feature live concerts, album release shows, multi-day festivals, recurring open mics, artist showcases, and creative production calls (such as looking for videographers, photographers, or audio engineers) focused primarily around Nashville's rap, R&B, soul, and jazz scenes.
What's the difference between Media Gigs and Media Contacts?
Gigs are one-off creator calls with a deadline — someone looking to hire a videographer for a specific shoot. Contacts is a standing, vetted roster of videographers, photographers, and media companies you can reach out to any time. Use the GIGS / CONTACTS toggle at the top of the Media tab to switch between them.
What are the Admin, Community, Spaces, and Promo tabs?
These are our vetted, community-submitted network. Admin covers labels, booking agents, and managers actively working with Nashville artists. Community covers trusted session players, DJs, vocalists, and show hosts/emcees. Spaces covers recording studios (music), production studios (content), and event venues — filter by type using the pills at the top of that tab. Promo covers tastemakers, reviewers, media teams, and radio contacts, split into Radio / Publication / Influencer, with a follower count so you know their reach before reaching out. Media Contacts (under the Media tab) works the same way. Use the "+ Add" button on any of these to submit — our team reviews it before it goes live, same 24–48 hour turnaround.
What's the Features tab?
A board for collabs. Post that you're looking for a feature on your track, that you're offering a feature as a guest artist, or that you're open to any collab. Use the Type filters to narrow it down, and add a SoundCloud/Spotify/YouTube link so people can hear your work first. Posts are reviewed before they go live, same 24–48 hour turnaround.
